Decorating the house with facing bricks
Decorating a house with facing bricks is expensive, but if you consider the quality, durability and aesthetics of facing bricks, then this material is almost out of competition. First you need to make calculations and determine how many squares of bricks need to be purchased. When making calculations, it is necessary to take into account the dimensions of the joints between the bricks, as well as trimming and rejects during operation. It is necessary to start laying the bricks from the foundation. In some cases, it may be necessary to level the foundation on a water level while adding solution. After the basis for laying became equal, it is possible to start facing. In the example provided in the illustration, three walls of the house were faced. Therefore, in this case, it is necessary to begin laying from the side that is connecting. Starting from the level of the connecting side, the other two are laid. In this case, the usual solution is used with one lobe of cement and three lobes of sand. Brick laying will be performed under the jointing. Therefore, it is necessary to use bead width 7 - 10 mm. The bead is placed on the corner of the bed and a spoon in order to apply mortar over its level. You can use a small glazing bead to apply the mortar between the brick bricks, and put a mortar on the level with a spatula. In addition, you must follow the vertical and horizontal level of the brick, and if necessary, using a rubber mallet, tapping to align the brick. To comply with the horizontal level you need to use fishing line. To do this, you first need to install the outermost bricks, and pull the fishing line from them. It is important that the extreme, corner bricks be exactly on the level from all sides, since the evenness of the whole row will depend on them. Vertical evenness can be checked with a small level. It is very important to keep the vertical joints parallel so that they are at the same level. It is important to follow this on each row, and approximately every 5 bricks check the construction level with the previous row.every 3 - 4 rows should be associated with the laying of the main wall of the house with the help of anchors or the conventional reinforcement. For this purpose, holes are drilled at a distance of 1 - 1.5 m with a perforator. The reinforcement is plugged into these holes, or the anchors are twisted. In addition, it is desirable to run a thin wire along the entire length of at least several rows of masonry. It is even better to reinforce the corners of the brickwork, connecting the walls with wire for every 3 to 4 rows.
