How to close a tab?

Most modern Internet browsers allow you to open and close tabs in various ways. However, there are more ways to close them. But most users do not know about them, but in vain, because perhaps one of them would be much more convenient, used now.

Close the tab

In each browser, the tab can be closed by simultaneously pressing CTRL + F4. The CTRL + W key combination works in the same way.

At the right edge of the tabs of any browsers you can find an icon with the image of a cross. Unless it's Apple Safari, in which it appears when you hover the mouse. The tab closes after clicking on this cross.

You can close the browser tab by hovering over the tab tab and right-clicking. After these actions, the context menu opens, where there is a line "Close tab".

If you use a mouse in which there are pushing wheels or the middle button, then before closing the tab, you should hover the mouse over it and click the middle button.

To close all tabs except the active one, select Opera in Opera: “Close all but active”, while in Google Chrome, select the “Close tabs to the right” option. In other browsers, you need to hover the cursor on the active tab, right-click and click "Close other tabs".
