Money transfer from Russia to Ukraine
There are several ways to transfer money from Russia to Ukraine. Among them there are three most common ones: transfer of funds through international money transfer systems, use of bank accounts or electronic wallets for this purpose. In this article we will look at these methods in more detail.
Features of the use of international money transfer systems
Such systems for brevity denote the abbreviation MDSP. The main advantage of using them is the high speed of operations. Sending funds and withdrawals can be made in any currency, this process will take you no more than 20 minutes.
It should be noted that if you make a transaction without opening a current account, then within one day you will not be able to transfer the amount of more than 50,000 Ukrainian hryvnias.
Among all international systems, the most widespread and popular in our time is Western Union. If you make an urgent transfer of money from Russia to Ukraine, then you will have to pay a commission of 3% of the amount of funds sent. If the operation is not urgent, the commission will be only 0.5%.
As for other companies, the payment for their services will be somewhat different:
- Unistream has a commission of 1-1.5%;
- Anelik and Contact will require a fee of 2% of the amount of funds sent;
- MoneyGram system provides a commission of 2.5%;
- "Golden Crown" estimates its services within 1%.
It should be added that the more money you transfer, the lower the tariff.
Money transfer from one account to another
You can transfer funds from Russia to Ukraine by using correspondent banks. These institutions have the right to carry out various monetary transactions on behalf of another bank. To send funds, both sides must have a current account, in one currency.
If a person uses this service for the first time or simply does not have a bank account, he can open it for a small amount - from 60 to 250 Russian rubles.
As a rule, all transfers from Russia to Ukraine are made in dollars or euros. To make a money transfer operation, you must contact a qualified employee of the institution or use the Internet banking service. To accomplish the task, the sender will need to know the details of the beneficiary bank in the international format, as well as the account number of the person who will receive the funds.
A financial institution takes a commission for its services. Its size ranges from 0.5% to 2% for withdrawing money, for sending a transfer you will have to pay 1-5% of the amount of funds transferred. If a third transit bank is involved in the operation, it will also need to give 1-5% of the total amount of the transfer.
Translation from electronic wallet
One of the easiest modern ways to transfer money between countries is to use e-wallets. Such an operation will take a few minutes, and the commission will be quite small. To send money in such a way, it is necessary that both parties have electronic wallets. The sender also needs to know the recipient’s wallet number. For additional protection of funds, you can use a special protection code - it is reported only to the recipient.
