What to cook from the tongue?

Language in tomato
- 2, 5 kg of beef tongue;
- Two tablespoons of butter;
- Tomatoes (can, both fresh and canned) about 8 pieces;
- One clove of garlic;
- Dried basil (half a teaspoon);
- Salt, pepper, bay leaf, parsley.
Tongue put into the pot, pour water and cook over low heat for 2-4 hours. Before the very end of boiling put parsley, onion, salt and bay leaf into the water. After the tongue has cooked, remove the skin from it. To do this, immediately after cooking, put the tongue in a container with cold water, then it will be easier to do.
Making the sauce: Melt the butter and fry the onion and garlic in it (finely chop everything) to brown. Add salt, pepper, basil and pureed tomatoes. Bring this thing to a boil and keep under cover, on low heat, for half an hour.
Put the tongues on a baking sheet and pour over the sauce. Send the dish in the preheated oven for about forty minutes. From time to time, you can water the tongues with the remaining sauce.
Salad "Granatik with the language"
All lovers of salads, such an unusual salad with the language, be sure to please. Moreover, thanks to the grenade, it turns out to be very beautiful and will surely decorate any table with it.
- 300 grams of beef tongue;
- 1 sweet pepper;
- Canned pineapple (about 3 circles);
- 100 g of hard cheese;
- 1 grenade;
- A few cloves of garlic;
Cook and remove the tongue (all, as in the previous recipe), cut into cubes. Sweet pepper clean and also cut, along with pineapple. Chop garlic, grate cheese. We mix everything except pineapple and pomegranate. We fill with mayonnaise. We decorate salad from above with pomegranate seeds and pineapple. As you can see, nothing complicated. However, the salad turns out extremely tasty.
